Syllabus
1- Oscillators harmonic, damped and forced; periodic and chaotic attractors. 2- Point attractors in autonomous systems. 3- Cycles limit in autonomous systems. 4- Periodic attractors in forced oscillators; the Poincaré map. 5- Chaotic attractors in forced oscillators. 6- Stability and bifurcations; Lyapunov stability. 7- Chaotic behavior of uni and two-dimensional maps; the Hénon map. 8- The Lorenz system. 9- Complexity and emergence. 10- Fractals. 11- Applications to physics.
